I consider Fourth of July to be the epitome of summer. Warm nights filled with laughter, s’mores, and fireworks, Fourth of July has always been one of my personal favorite holidays. While there are many traditions associated with this holiday, breaking out all of my red, white, and blue clothing is definitely one that I look forward to. In preparation for the holiday, I’ve done exactly that and put together some patriotic outfits that you can easily recreate this upcoming Fourth of July!
A star necklace is the perfect way to add a subtle and on theme detail to any outfit!
This first outfit combines some classic summer pieces: jean shorts, a tank top, and sandals. People often resort to stars and stripes for their pattern on Fourth of July, but it’s important to remember that you can still incorporate other patterns. For example, I wore a red floral print to create a more subtle patriotic look. Since my shirt was red, I chose to use blue sunglasses and a white bag (from Plato’s Closet!) to tie the look together.
This outfit is the epitome of Fourth of July. It incorporates the classic colors and even stripes! Patterned denim is a super fun way to bring a pattern into your look. You can get striped jeans or look for some with stars! Get creative when wearing a pattern this Fourth of July!
This look is one of the more subtle ones, you could wear this on a daily basis or for this special occasion. Unlike the other outfits in this post, this one doesn’t only use red, white, and blue. I decided to wear this black striped skort because it would still match the theme while toning down the outfit and allowing the red top to pop.
For this last outfit, I went with blue and white as the main colors and simply added red accessories to tie the look together. If where you live is too warm for jeans, you can easily swap them out for some jean shorts! Remember that the accessories are an important aspect of every outfit!
I hope you guys can gather some inspiration from these simple outfits! Have fun when creating your patriotic outfits this Fourth of July and don’t forget to get creative with your red, white, blue, and striped clothes!

The heat has approached us and summer is in full swing! If you’re a summer lover like me, you can’t wait to slip into your favorite pair of shorts that have been buried in the back of your closet since last summer season. However, summer outfits don’t just end with shorts, this is also the perfect time to experiment with any light-colored jean! Here are two outfits that are perfect for the summer heat!
For my first look, I decided to pair white wide-leg jeans with a white square neckline bodysuit. This versatile outfit can be made to look more casual by wearing it with sneakers, or it can be jazzed up by pairing it with a short, chunky, open-toe heel. The cropped jeans make this look especially easy to show off your shoes. As for jewelry, I opted for a simple choker with my initial, B, on it.
For my second look, I chose to pair high-waisted, medium-wash shorts with a button-up shirt that I tied in the front. This look is so easy to create and really gives you a staple summer style outfit that is effortless to put together. Furthermore, I’m such a fan of sandals and could not wait to start wearing these silver slides because they pair perfectly with this outfit! For accessories, I opted out of wearing statement earrings and instead added statement bobby pins. Overall, this is a fun look.

I am in LOVE with the denim skirt and graphic tee combo! There are so many adorable graphic tees out there! For my summer wish list, I am on the hunt for more graphic band tees to pair with my skirts! Cause who doesn’t love a band tee? I also love the small touch my statement belt adds to the outfit!
Outfit 2: Classic Jacket
I can’t get over how effortless and classy the good ol’ leather jacket and jeans look is. I got this leather jacket secondhand for an amazing price! I recently picked up this belt and I love the classy gold loop that pulls it together! For an extra touch, add hoop earrings to match the belt!

It’s not unusual for certain fashion trends to gain popularity then promptly die out, never to be worn again. Yet, among the ever-changing fashion trends, there are classic styles that remain constant in every wardrobe. For example, denim has been popular for decades and will most likely maintain that status for many more!
Denim's versatility is one reason it is consistently relevant in fashion. Today I’ll be sharing five unique styles of denim and how you can wear them!
Style 1: A Unique Silhouette
Don’t be afraid to branch out from skinny jeans or mom jeans! While these are certain essentials in every closet, it is also important to incorporate other silhouettes. These wide-leg jeans are such a unique style that can create a super put together outfit with little effort. The tortoise shell buttons are another cute detail that makes these pants stand out.
Style 2: Denim-on-Denim
Some may be critical of the denim-on-denim look (I was too!) but it is a classic style that, when styled correctly, can be super cute! When layering denim I recommend going with light-wash because it’s less overpowering than dark-wash denim. A white- or light-colored shirt is ideal. I opted for a tube top because showing a little more skin can ensure that you’re not overpowered by the fabric! This will keep the look light and counterbalance the heavy fabric. Lastly, the key to a perfect double-denim look is the proper accessories! I used a silky bandana as a belt to embrace the hippie vibes and threw on some Nike Air Forces to add a modern detail.
Style 3: A Different Denim Jacket
This charcoal denim jacket is definitely one of my go-to items. Whenever I want to add a more edgy feel to an outfit, this is the perfect addition. I love pairing it with light-wash jeans or a fun leopard print skirt! The best part is that I actually thrifted this jacket (but I ultra-cropped it myself!) Always check your local Plato’s Closet for authentic and good-quality denim!
Style 4: Get Colorful
Personally, I feel that colored denim is one of the most exciting and unique ways to rock the fabric. I got this light-pink jacket (and cropped it myself, of course!) for a super affordable price! This jacket over a graphic tee paired with black jeans is an easy go-to look!
Style 5: Patterned Jeans
Patterned denim is another funky way to rock denim. These jeans are a great alternative to the basic mom jeans and tee outfit. Best of all, they are super easy to style and create a fun look! There are so many types of patterned jeans, such as florals or embellishments!
With all the variety of silhouettes, patterns, and colors, you’re bound to find a style that you like! Don’t be afraid to branch out and try more unique styles of denim!

To top off this outfit, I accessorized with a gold initial bracelet from Plato's Closet ($5) and a cute pair of sunnies ($4)! This is perfect if you’re looking for a cute outfit to grab a bite to eat or go on a walk outside.
This next outfit has a bit of festive flair! I got this adorable light pink halter tank at my local Plato's Closet for only $6! I paired the tank with some fun, ripped festival shorts and sandals to top off my look. I decided to add some fun accessories I picked up at Plato's Closet! Grab your purse and you’re ready to go to your next music festival!
For my final look, I chose to go fresh and flirty! I picked up this adorable two-piece set at my local Plato’s Closet for only $16! Definitely a steal! I chose to dress this outfit up by adding a layered gold necklace ($6), sunglasses ($4), and a boho bag ($6). This is definitely a look I'll be packing for a summer vacation!
